Smoked Almond Biscuits and Oyster Mushroom Gravy.

For the Biscuits

2 Cups Flour

8 Tbsp Soft Butter

1 Tbsp Baking Powder

3/4 Cup Chopped Mesquite Smoked Almonds

A few pinches of Himalayan Pink Salt

A few pinches of Garlic Salt

1 Cup Milk

In a large bowl combine soft butter with flour, baking powder, and salt until mixture is crumbly. Add in milk and fold almonds into the dough. Form into biscuits with hands and bake in greased skillet for 10-15 minutes on 450*

For the Gravy

5 Tbsp Butter

1 Qt Chicken or Vegetable Stock

2 Cups Diced Oyster Mushrooms

3 Cloves Minced Garlic

Approximately 1 Cup Cornstarch

Pinches of Thyme, Ground Pepper, and Salt

In a skillet on low heat, melt butter with garlic and mushrooms. Add half of the broth and slowly mix in cornstarch using a fork to dissolve lumps. Continue adding in the rest of the broth and herbs until gravy is at desired consistency.
